We would like to introduce you to our contract and
custom design furniture division, serving the healthcare, hotel, motel,
lodging, casino and hospitality industry. We are a family owned and
operated company founded 74 years ago by our Chairman, Thomas Montalbano
Sr., who at 92 years of age still works daily in the factory. We are
a hands on quality oriented family business dedicated to delivering
the highest quality in the furniture industry.
Our artisans at Montalbano Majestic International have been producing
quality furniture and carvings for over 74 years. This team is under
the tutelage of Thomas Montalbano, Sr., a master carver for over 79
years.
Located in Bellwood, Illinois, we are known throughout the furniture
industry for our hand crafted, hand sanded, clean smooth carvings. In
other words, we make furniture the old fashioned way, by hand. There
are currently three generations active in the business.
We also extend an open invitation for you and your staff to visit our
factory and showroom so you may personally experience how quality furniture
is manufactured and finished. I hope you take the opportunity to see

We have a strong commitment to timeliness and standing behind our ship
times. We are also ASID industry partners, strongly committed and active
in the Illinois Chapter of the ASID (American Society of Interior Designers).
Our 50,000 square foot factory and manufacturing plant is equipped with
a CNC router, a Point to Point multi-line borer, rip saws, table saws,
band saws, hot and cold glue presses, joiners, shapers, routers, borers,
planers, and carving machines. In addition, we have the ability to make
plywood panels and handcarvings. Lastly, we have the ability to work
with fiberboard, plywood, veneers, laminates, and melamine.
All pieces undergo a nine-step finish with five clear coats of nitrocellulose
lacquer topcoat; twice the amount used by other manufacturers, all completed
by hand. We have a fully staffed finishing department with six eight
foot spray booths.
We only use factory select and better lumber with top grade plywood
and MDF. All tops are solid wood edge and hand finished. All legs are
produced from solid wood and the rails are produced from solid wood
or _” MDF with top grade veneer. All cases will be produced from
top grade _” laminate panels. Our drawer boxes are 4 sided and
constructed of 9 ply Baltic birch with _” wood tung & groove
bottoms and a _” solid front, sealed and sanded with side mount
American made Knape & Vogt locking drawer slides.
Having been in business for over seventy-four years, we take pride in
our reputation as being the finest. We pride ourselves on the quality
and workmanship that goes into every piece of furniture we produce.
We are a small family-owned business. This allows us the opportunity
to ensure that only the finest product leaves our factory. More importantly,
it is our family name that is placed on every piece of furniture we
produce, not just a company name. Accordingly our furniture is built
to last.

would require, as all the pieces will be made to your specifications.
