was the right company to restore my bookcase. They are furniture manufacturers
so they understand the whole process of restoring furniture and they
finished the work within the time frame they quoted. After I picked
up my bookcase, I dropped off an old mirror to be restored. The mirror
had many coats of paint/stain that needed to be removed. The scroll
work was broken off and missing. They recreated the missing scroll work
and corner pieces and refinished the frame in a mahogany stain for $400.
The mirror was finished in the time frame quoted and turned out more
beautiful than I could have imagined. I highly recommend Montalbano's
to my friends and I will use them in the future." "We were extremely happy with this company's service, and we felt
that the price was very reasonable given the excellent quality of the
work. We used a company recommended by Marshall Field's for similar
work some years ago--their work was not nearly as good as Montalbano's,
and their prices were considerably higher. The repair to the dog-chewed
pedestal table is truly a work of art--you can't tell there was damage.
Richard Montalbano is a pleasure to deal with--he responds promptly,
does excellent work, completes the job when promised, and charges a
